Instead of traditional gifts, we're asking for contributions toward the home we're building together on our land in East Montpelier. As of now, there is an electric pedestal, a well, and a foundation. We are now working on the timber frame.

This is very much a DIY project. Kyle is a timber framer and skilled woodworker. I (Liv) love being in the woods and given a task. We're also lucky to have a community of skilled friends and craftspeople who want to lend a hand.

This past winter, we built a shelter to work under, harvested lumber from the land, and hewed beautiful hemlock beams that will arch over us one day soon (pictures below!).

There is no gift more meaningful to us than helping our future home take shape. We're using a construction loan to bring it all together, and any contribution goes directly toward building the life and home we're so excited to share.

We have a general fund for materials (insulation, 2×4s for walls, pipes, a pressure take, a woodstove, and so on), and a fund for a standing seam roof fund if you would like to contribute towards something more specific.
